The Oceans Secret

Beneath the beveled waters deep
Lay hidden in her arms
Unfolds a secret world
With all its, beauty and charm

Flossed shells beneath her lie
LIke jewels her broken palace shattered
Her tormented brow teri's

Ship a breast half sunk
Sand shifts its, tales of when
Once shook with guided sails
Seagulls board its, haven

Under ground the sea now glows
Shines upon its, armor
Souls rest beneath its, walls
Will rise one day

Beneath the ocean deep
Lies the city past
Her beauty shines beneath
Now broken once stood tall
Now lies beneath the sea with tales

I live on Saba ,in the Caribbean ,ancestors pirate's and Sea Captian's. The vision in this poem stirs my imagination.back to a time when sea and boats was the way of life here.thanks for this one ,love it.

It must be pretty neat to live there.I would really love to see the under ground lost Sea cities and find treasure. But thats been done at a cost I am sure. How cool just to be there.Thank you.

Me too, how fun it would be to discover treasure and to see ships like that. There is one over this way I have never seen but at a distance. Children are allowed to go see it on field trips.

A poetic heart can see nature in the different way. I'm feeling happy by reading this poem.

Thank you so much. I appreicate the thought.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
