the other

the other

you are the other man
and you're in love
and you're alone
the fault is your own
you saw her face
but didn't count on the comforts
within her embrace

and now your holidays
are hollow days
spent in mysterious ways

the symmetry of misery
has a place at the stake
it is raw and it is eerily
meant to keep you awake

you are the other man
you are the other man

and now your holidays
are hollow days
stained in grainy grays

the casualties are casually
kept out of the sun
because simply and eventually
all colors will run

now your holidays
are hollow days
drenched in darkest play

you are the other man

Now that just hurt....but in a good had such an ark of regret mixed with defiance.....although I'm a Woman....I can relate to the honest feel of this write....nicely done....Cher

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
