The Pact With the Devil

The Pact With the Devil

The more that I think on the way that they act
With the Devil they've made their pact

Once your in your always a sister or a brother
Blood will always be thicker then water to each other

Don't turn your back on them for long
Or you might be singing a different song

Shooting up for the first time proving you have the right
Finding a Jon and staying up all night

Finding your answers in the bottom of a bottle
In your nightmares it all begins to settle

As the red and blue sirens answer the call
The echo of shots fired we watch the innocent fall

The chase is on
But you don't last long

You were innocent but you were the one left standing
For you the laws were quick and binding

Though the names you did not give up
That night was the night you grew up

You no longer needed to walk this road alone
This pathway made of stone

With no other way to come about
Just put your hands together & pray for God will help you out.

For your heart he can mend
As his strength he will lend.

He will help you cope
And give you an everlasting hope.

some of the sentences are choppy and if you added more explination im sure it would be even better but i do like it.

A beautiful poem. My only suggestion is to work on rewording a few of the stanzas. Other wise excellent job.

I like this poem. When things are going bad in your life and you feel like you've hit rock bottom just ask God to help you find your way. Great job

Amazing, Had my emotions everywhere. Kinda tells you that at the end of it all put your hands in God.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
