The Perfect Hit

The Perfect Hit

And why can't I stop being like this?
It's not important because I don't want to.
How did I fall so fast and so hard?
This is the only kind of falling that feels good.
Every word you say is perfect,
Executed with such charm
That hits me and knocks me out.
You're like a boxer in the ring.
You have a signature move,
And you know when to use it.
It gets me everytime.
And even though it has hit me before,
It catches me off guard.
I'm completely defenseless.
It's the only hit I'd gladly take over and over.
I'm left with a smile and no breath each time.
You know you're good.
You love it just as much as I do.
Just know this;
No matter how breathless you happen to leave me,
I'll always come back for more.
Am I crazy?
There's a good chance.
But I can't stop, and I wouldn't if I could.
