    the race

I run and run and run.
    But nowhere i am getting
I'm tired and hungry, yet i still run.
Not knowing where the finish line is.
Can i win this race, or am i the only one running in this marathon.
    As i run faster.
    The more i am chased.
    By who.
    Will i get away.
    Will i trip and fall.
Will i ever be able to stop running.
    Without quitting.
Do i care if i win or lose.
Or do i just wanna stop running.
When i slow to a walk they get closer.
As if they know i'm tired, and may not be able to go on.
Ive stopped now only to hear my heart pounding like a jackhammer.
My body is aching and sore yet there is no sweat, or heaving breathe..
    My running has stopped
    Another day has gone
    Another race has started.
    My pain has returned.
    The race must go on.

Wow, I like it=). I like the idea about how it's a race against time. I like the constant questioning to himself. Like the way your broke it up. The simplicity of it also reflects meaning. Do you mind checking out my poems? I want to know the opinion of others...

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
