The Road We Travel

There is a road we travel on...
Looking back we see where we've come.
A lonely road, sometimes it's dark...
Sometimes its light and we're all alone.
It takes us to, we see not where...
And many times there's no one there.
Through rocks and rain we walk along...
Sometimes we're weak, sometimes we're strong.
Yet all the while, this road is long.
We often think, to where it leads.
We often fall and we often bleed.
Some hearts grow cold and turn to stone...
Some hearts grow soft and cry alone.
This is the road we travel on...
A voice is calling, but who will hear...
Some turn aside, some shut their ear.
But inside it speaks and in all we see...
There is no running, we can't get free.
Some hear this calling, some let it be...
Hearts grow hard who won't believe...
This road is formed, for you and me...
God is waiting and He can see...
You're at the crossroads of eternity...
Maybe your last time, to ask God in...
So make this turn, to where you've never been...
He'll give your heart, a brand new song...
He will walk with you...on this road your on.
He will make your heart His home...
And your road...His own!

So lovely. Thank you for giving us such a sweet reminder that God is waiting for us to call Him.

Thank you for the inspiration. Keep on writing and following the Lord because We Have a VICTORY!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
