realy need to get over her

The Sadness

My thoughts stray to things that were,
 things that will never be.
Moments where a turn was took,
 which changed reality.

I’m haunted by the memories,
 of futures past away
Lost in the fantasy,
 that maybe things can change.

It seams every day gone by,
takes me further down this road.
In which my life is sundered,
 from my love betrothed

Haunted by the memories,
 of futures that never were,
the maybe’s and could have beans’.
 The spectral ghosts of yore

As I look into this future,
 carved by my own hand,
shall I walk the road with head held high?
Or just stop where I stand?

Haunted by the memories,
of futures I have lost.
In my heart in imperishable crystal,
 face’s of the past.

Hello, I am writing a book on heart break. This poem is perfect for it. If you would like more info contact at dorval2001@hotmail.com.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
