There are times we've all said
if I could go back once more
and do all those things over,
that I did so wrong before

Would things really be different....
would we do it right this time?
I wonder if things could change
so we would'nt be angry, selfish or unkind?

Would we still see the beggar
out there in the street......
and just pass him by
offering him nothing to eat?

Or ignore that stranger we met,
when she first tried to flirt......
because we were afraid, again
that our feelings might get hurt

Would we be kind to those
that we meet each day....
or would we be unconcerned, again
in just the same old way?

This time, would we thank God
for what he gives us each day
and would we remember each night
to get on our knees, and pray?

But what of our family and friends
who were always there for us.....
would we even consider their needs
or would it all just be too much?

Think hard about your life
and see what you've been given...
don't be so arrogant next time
in the way that you're driven

You say you'd make some changes
but,  I doubt that you would
for you'd have done it the first time
if you really thought that you should
