    The sick fairy

    There was a fairy once
    which flew around with flew,
    and shivered from a fever,
    like flewy fairys do.

    She landed on my dog,
    while looking up at me,
    the she said "I'm sick!
    Not feeling well you see."

    My dog, who started scratching,
    through poor the fairy's hitch,
did turn his head to put his teeth,
    in to the little witch.

    Ti's why i couldn't help her,
    that pleasant summers day,
    when flewy fairy destined was,
    within my dog to stay.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
