    Poem Commentary

The after results of the love I lost. My heart broken and my soul alone.

    The Sound of No One

Waken to the sound of no one,
What has our nights realities begun,
I reach out to touch your face,
All I feel is an empty space,
How long must the emptiness go on,
    When were two lovers drawn,
    I feel you are gone,
Days turn into months, into a year,
All of a sudden you and me are clear,
I hide my face as to not to discover,
You have left me for another,
A sword in my heart and blood drops on my wedding ring,
My heart bleeds until I no longer feel nothing,
My soul feels empty and full of hate,
Is the pain and rejection my cruel fate,
Although the wound is stitched up,
Little blood drops still fill my wedding cup.

Sometimes being by yourself is not so bad. When you're alone and without the distractions of a relationship you can really get to know yourself and grow into the person you were created to be. Look at "alone" from a different perspective and I think you'll begin to appreciate the experience. At that point it will all start to make sense. Good poem.

OMG...I feel like there are so many pages to the story that is my heart and this is an excerpt of it. I've felt this pain and I sympathize with yours. I fight an overflow of tears as I read it, remembering when this pain was one of my own. My heart goes out to you friend.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
