The Sounds of a Broken Heart

The Sounds of a Broken Heart

Happy in the darkness, and at peace with the silence,

Now the dawn has come, and the noises are the reality at every corner,

Standing here naked open to the pain,

Seeing the light as it burns through the heart that’s torn wide open,

No one sees,

Only passes by,

As the painful howls pull deep from the broken heart,

The mind is busy with the pain of the past while the body barely moves,

Emotions hitting like the waves on the sand,

Thoughts are so loud they are deafening,

Thoughts are dark,

Happy in the misery with no desire to change,

Only struggle,

Struggle with the grief,

The pounding in the mind struggling with the grief,

The world moves while the body is motionless,

The mind rejoices as the dark has come back, and silence is its only friend,

Exhausted from the full stream of pain letting the thoughts fall silent in the mind

i can't imagine to feel pain like that and hope to never. This poem is dark but beautifully crafted. It's soooo emotional. You have a jewel here. It's brilliant.

I have been here, and its a hard place to come back from. No matter how u got there or the circumstances, there is light at the end of the darkness......... :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
