Poem Commentary

The stallion horse can be the best horse if it is handled correctly.

He is a family man and protects them with out fail. He is the best catch of the bunch. There are men who are like stallions. They can be the best catch for the right woman. The woman must ride with their man, not ride him.

The Stallion

The stallion

As majestic as a mountain

His tough imposing stature

Yet softer than a whisper

Spirit longing for adventure

Free as natures wind

His great-unbridled soul

His heart a champion pure

Growing strong from a foal

His muscular physique

Is like an oceans wave

Protecting family members

Always-fearless gallant brave

Gate elegant as a dancer

He almost seems to glide

Running floating like a cloud

There is power in his stride

Why do we wish to tame

This spirit wild and free

And harness his great power

To work for you and me

Best never to be saddled

A bridle never to restrain

His spirit never broken

Or be guided by a rein

Can we ride together?

And keep our spirits free

Because this precious stallion

Is like you and I could be

I love the metephore here! WOW Coacher, you brought a whole man-pride kinda thing with this write..Yes, you are way right on this note too, that we as humanbeings are conditioned by our surroundings, and become a redesigned version of who we are meant to be..well,probably! Anyway, this is written with perfect strength and masculinity! Heck, Coacher, almost makes me wish I were a guy!-LOL, nah~I'm to good at being a woman, lol! another 10.-Maddi

Great imagery. I saw the stallion galloping along freely, beautifully. I also saw a man in your poem. It was very well-crafted...10 from me!

This is a wonderfully written poem...You capture freedome in itself. A free spirit. Kind of like a single man..not wanting to be tied down...or woman. It is a beautiful poem...keep writing like this...This is one of your best.

I really like this, I wrote a long Poem called the Stallions Harem, and I feel the same way you do, and I own horse so I know the feeling and meaning, and yes a good man has to be a Stallion for sure, :) Find your exquisite joy, WS

WS" Thank you for reading this write. It is good to hear positive comments from a pro. I don't have a parrot, but i loved your poem about your birds. Happy holidays. coach

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
