    • Your the one for me, and I'm the one for you, take the both of us and we're the perfect two. <3

    The Tears of Desperation

I hate the thought of you leaving
but don't like the thought of you staying
    We just met
    and already you love me
    Is this really true?
    I don't know
    only time will tell
    But I'm afraid
    to wait
for the time to be up
    and for me to
    have to make a decision.
    So until then
    Im drowning
    in the tears
    of desperation.

All expressions of pain are difficult. Consider your first two lines. They don't match the rest of the work. Are they necessary? The piece stands without them.

@DrewMcnee Yes, I see your point, but the situation here is of a girl who has a guy that she doesn't know what to do with. She feels uncomfortable around him, yet she can't get away from him. Some things she likes, some she doesn't.

The author calls the shots. That is how it should be. My reference to the first two lines was not about the content but rather to the difference in style when compared with the rest of the piece. Also, I believe their content is contained within the body of the poem and that if they were not there, the reader would be taken deeper into the mystery and ambiguity of both this work and that of personal relationships. The joy in solving a puzzle is not in being given the answer but experiencing the satisfaction of finding the key or keys that lock and unlock that particular enigma.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
