    The Touch of my Grandmother

A storm rolls in, the thunder booming, I ran into her room and I got into bed, she rolled over and she held me tight

as she cuddled me, she whispered softly, baby it will all be alright

the wind is blowing, i hear the crashing, she holds me closer but I cry through the night

she looks at me and tells me, baby it will all be alright.

Sorry for you'r loss. So much said in just a few short lines. More than a storm, a life of security. Thanks You.

Thank you, I lost her in April of 08 when this was written.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
