The Travelling Soul

I want to travel
The lands and the seas
Cross the universe
With my hands and feet
Hear the sound of the breeze
I won’t fear because I’m free.

Out there in the landscape
Everything is green
The singing of birds is like a dream
Nature I know you are here
In a miracle I believe
Show me the mountains
Blind me with your sparkles of light
Shine over the rainbow sea.

Give me wings to see
The other side of my birth land
The castles and cathedrals
The wild of the jungles
The palaces and deserts
The majestic of the snow
The colors of skins
And hear their native tongues.

There are no time barriers
Or frontiers to cross
No politics or religions
No money to burn
I have no flags, riches or a nation to belong
Just my bare soul and my heart to show
I exist and willing to roam
Until I find my grave
And become one with mother earth…

very nice piece. To love and respect the earth so many of us take for granted is truly a wonderful thing and you are blessed to be so connected to nature.

I love this! I know, the longing to be completely free with mother earth! There is almost no way to truely express that passion.Words do not do the heart justice, but your poem here was as close as one could get. To describe a love affair with the earth so well,is a huge acheivment!Awsome work!-thanks

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
