Poem Commentary

its a poem about a young girl from 1742 named elizabeth crabrich who's family burned in a house fire. she went to live with her aunt and when she got there fate caught up with her and she was killed in the street.

the true death

and girls family dead before her eyes
a fire taking away her entire life
a travel to a new place
a journey to reach a familiar face

days go by
finally she arrives
a place where she remembers when she was young
she remembers a man being hung
as she stands in the street and takes a breathe
before she was reached
a carriage shows her the true death
