The Unknown
People wonder through life,
Blind,
Never really mind,
Where they're going,
Never questioning,
What could have been,
Just waiting for the end,
Not trying to sway,
Not wishing to change,
Just staying the same way,
Not wishing for better,
Just willing to let her,
Get away,
Never to see again some day,
Everyone makes their own decisions,
I just keep wishin',
To find the right one,
Just wishing for someone,
To treat me right,
I don't mean just for one night,
I've gotten where,
I don't really care,
Throwing my hands up into the air,
Never truthfully feeling love from another,
Other than that of my mother,
I treat people good,
Some way better than I should,
I have been used,
Never really abused,
I just wish someone,
Would take me down,
Cut me loose,
Out of the noose,
Someone to keep me happy,
Someone to be with,
Through thick and thin,
All of the way to the end,
Someone to make me whole,
Someone to keep me warm,
When it is cold,
It will all come in time,
When God feels I am ready,
Solid and steady,
He will let me take her,
He knows that I will not forsake her,
I am always willing to change,
Willing to rearrange,
As long as it is for the better,
As long as it helps us,
From the day I met her.
