The Voice Within

The Voice Within

The world is a cruel place,

But young child—

Don’t be afraid,

I’ll be here for you—

Close your eyes,

And take a deep breath—

Don’t let everyone let you down,

You have a voice inside you—

Let it out little girl,

Scream and shout—

Let the universe know,

That this is all about you—

And when you’re feeling down,

Just remember I’ll be your friend—

Don’t forget to remember you’re strong,

And you can make it through anything—

Thank you :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
