The Way It Wasn't Meant To Be

The Way It Wasn't Meant To Be

As each day goes by
It's one day closer to goodbye

My mind said it was time to leave
But my heart doesn't want to believe

Though I would leave behind a piece of my heart
I knew it was for the best that we part

The quiet turmoil that lay inside
Are all the feelings I try to hide

They say that time will heal
But for now it seems so surreal

As each day comes to an end
A prayer to God I send

As the tears fall down my face
And I yearn for his embrace

"Please God help me stand my ground
For my heart can't take another round

I know I truly gave it my all
So now on your strength I need to call.

I can't take anymore stealing or lies
For it will be him that I will despise

It is my herat, body, & soul
that he tried so hard to control

It is a price I refuse to pay"
As I turn to walk away

"There is something you should know
Before I turn to go

Can't you see,
This isn't how Love was meant to be"

You are such a warm person rendida and just as pc below me said, this poem defiantly allows that to shine through to reveal your grace. Dont give in the heart is not a contest for games and not a target for mistreating. ^_^
