    Poem Commentary

    A poem describing how I feel as a youth, home schooler, a girl surrounded by technology, constantly reminded of what's going on and how I can't do anything about it.

    The World As I See It...Is Screwed
    Who am I kidding?
    I'm raising myself.

    Fly buzzing around my being.
    I want to get out more, trust me.

    All I hear about are problems I can't fix.
    Oil spills, presidential nix.
    Job loss, blood loss, points in the DOW go up...

    She's got high anxiey, just call me Miss Sobriety.

    No way out.
    Just call me Doubt.

    Don't fix me with hypnosis.
    Don't fix me with the pills.
    Don't fix me with your lazy drinks,
    your blindness, or your thrills.

    Don't change me because I'm standing.
    Change yourself because you're asleep.
    I'll pull you up, won't let you down,
    and set you on your feet.

    i love the way you use your words in your poems, very impressive and, for some, possibly confusing, but that is the beauty of it. if you have to make someone think about what you are writing, then you have gotten it down right. awesome, 10...

    [: I like to write complicated, as a code of sorts. It lets the reader relate in a few different ways, rather than one.

    that is really a good way to write. makes people have to use their minds and not just skim through to see if it is worth reading...

    Yeah, some of my poems are like that and I apologize. Since its my thoughts from the inside, there are happenings and things that I understand and others won't but I try to go back and fix and explain. :D ♥ Thanks! ^^
