There are Reasons

There are reasons why a flower blooms in the midst of May,
there are reasons why a doves flys overheard its wings embraces the day,
There are reasons why people put others over themselves,
There are reasons why others choose to speak quietly instead of one choosing to yell.
In the midsts of our trials, we choose to hold on to hope,
Yet our fears and doubt consume us, as our minds stay constantly afloat.
I shed tears not of love, but pain for a disease that consumes my soul,
There are reasons that God chooses us to bear burdens, that one does not comprehend what lies above.
In the heat of July, I felt the gravest pain,
hearing the voice of a physician that says your relapse has occured once again.
I feel the tears, yet my faint cries are not met,
Multiple Sclerosis has no friends, only victims of whal lies ahead.
I choose to be a victor, instead of a victim, with full regrets,
There are reasons why love has as many foes as victims,
for what lies ahead.
