There's always you

    • I can say a million words, and you still would never understand

    There's always you

    Sleep,

    Eternal Sleep,

That is what I wish for.

    Death,

    The final breathe,

    The thought fascinates me.

    Life,

    A never ending game,

Don’t really want to live anymore.

    Pain,

    A constant reminder,

    That I’m dying slowly.

    Depression,

    It’s beginning to show,

    Even through my forced smile.

    Imperfection,

    It stares back at me,

The mirror has a nasty secret.

    Guilt,

    It eats me alive,

It makes me want to scream.

    Monster,

    That’s what I see,

    An ugly monster.

    Giving up,

    That sounds about right,

Maybe it’s just time to stop trying.

    Love,

    It’s a lie,

    A beautiful one at that.

    You,

    Something that gives me reason,

You make me forget about all of my pain.

    You,

Make me believe I am strong enough,

You make me think love can be found.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
