    Poem Commentary

In loving Meomory Of The Loved Ones We lost

    They Are Near

when the sun shines upon your face,
and you feel the breeze touch your skin,
although you cant feel there embrace,
or hear the words they try to speak,
    you know they are near.
You try so hard to hear the words
of the almost forgotten voices that speak
you try so hard To see the faces
of the ones that use to be.
    You know they're near.
    although they are gone
    to a better place.
you try desperately to hold on.
You want to hear the spoken words
and to see those familiar faces.
    you know they are near.
    They will never be gone
as long as we never forget
how much they meant to us.
    They will always be near.

    Thank you

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
