This Day
I rode my bike along the stream
And looked at all that is so green
And wondered if it is a dream
This day

I watched the little ducks below
Happily swimming to and for
Enjoying the sun as they go
This Day

Thngs are mostly quiet and dead
As if there's something in which to dread
But today is different, and being said
This Day

The chidren are out in the street
Laughing, screaming , in bare feet
Joyful ,they are with the sunny treat
This Day

With so few days in Germany
Warm and friendly and summerly
I gave my thanks to the Lord that Be
This Day
