    This My Heart Seeks

    This,
    my heart seeks,
    yet eyes blinded
    bye the pains of ole.
    Passions burns
    within the grief;
    yet how I long!
    Love
    within a broken shell,
    pieces trodden
    beneath my feet.
    Yearning proceeds
    the tears that call
    to each heart's
    separate beat.
    In the years
    that come shall find
    this life is but
    a memory.
Folded in the pages of life
    remembered as images
    played within a dream
    Visions of desire
    I see-
    eyes-to-eyes
    as one we exist.
    Understanding
    the twist and turns
    that this life gives.
    Intertwined
    our hearts shall find
    a rocky path
    may lie ahead.
    Yet even so
    I cast aside
    all my fear and dread.
    Strong
    within your arms
    I find-
    at last
    peace of mind.
    Within each
    heartbeat we share
    through the passages of time.

    Merci.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
