    THOUGHTS FROM AN ADDICTED MIND.
    Cassius McPherson

These thoughts are mixed up signals tightly jumbled in my mind
Their trying eagerly to get out within my poetry I find.
The strength to say all the things I feel the courage to draw the line
. These are my deepest darkest saddest emotions
    Thoughts from an addicted mind
By his grace I was given this wonderful gift to use, as I deem fit.
Groups of words all jumbled inside my head now I’m trying to
    Make sense of it.

So I got down on my knees in recovery and asked Jesus to show me a
    Sign.
And he opened the gates of my imagination
    Thoughts from an addicted mind
As I flipped through the pages in my mind and put together this puzzle of
    Thoughts.
I’m beginning to reveal this person inside and the peace in which I
    Sought.
I’ve gathered them all together and I can truly say there mine.
See I know from which they come from

My poetry is a passion filled with paragraphs of emotion heartache
    And pain......
I’ve unleashed these words on paper to keep me from going
    Insane......
When I write I’m searching my soul for something, something I can’t
    Explain....
But I’ll continue to write my poetry cause it’s giving me life
    Again....
So here are my thoughts in a nutshell this is the only way I could find.
To release the passion’s inside of me here are

i really like this one especially the last paragraphs i can see struggle through your words and it seems the subject has come a long way in coping, in different ways i feel the same i deal with deep-seated anger through poetry it helps me keep a smile on my face

Smooth structure. I like how you constructed this. Brought the message across with poeticness.

tight work cassius, I gotta admit, if not for poetry I don't know where I'd be...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
