Thoughts

i wonder and conjecture,
face this meeting with fear
 apprehension
for our meeting was rare, fortunate
but ... still i feel somehow electric
 somehow taken by the suddenness,
timeliness of this touch
  on soul and heart
i sense,
am afraid, yes ... even scared
for you have taken me aback
with approach, knowledge, dare I say ...
   ... hope,
i feel
as if i know you already
   in some esoteric way
i sense
familiarity with that which seems to be you,
   'tis this i fear, but,
as ever braver explorers before me have done,
i forge my way into this new
 wonderful vastness,
"lead on, MacDuff",
'DAMN the torpedoes, full speed ahead',
wither goest thou, shall i soon follow.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
