Status Quo

  • I am the sand that pours down the hour glass awaiting to know if I'm half empty or half full, i am usurped by the power of time...

Status Quo

Potential in motion, kinetically frozen
The deadliest corrosion, adhesively sound...

Born a man, died a woman,
Desiring to be different, longing to be the same...

Tension has broken the string theroy that wraps within alpha prime,
Damascus steel, folds at will, from adversity left behind...

Strength is a mere measurement of movement, I stand idle in it's place,
Weakness is the "I can't" in a realm we call life, a word "I can't" erase...

Clinging to only what we understand, I shall not title this the truth,
For my thoughts are of space-time, because life on earth can be uncouth...

Human body, alien mind, spirtual soul, my heart, hard to find,
Violent in nature, destructive behavior, these values, you dare cosign...

Our passion is negative, but only in density, thus we strive for H20
Essentially dust, made with love not lust, differences will fade in time...

We are all the same...

[kinetically frozen The deadliest corrosion] - Indeed. Perhaps an idle mind breaks before a speeding one. This piece catches many senses of my mind, stimulating thoughts and perceptions. Extremely well written, almost like each new line is a new epiphany. [Strength is a mere measurement of movement, I stand idle in it's place, Weakness is the "I can't" in a realm we call life, a word "I can't" erase...] - I like how you wove this line, it is like it is in itself a full circle. Of circles.

The writer is very philosophical. I understand the analysis here, but I don't exactly agree with this viewpoint. Nevertheless...this is very a interesting, and good write.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
