Three days of darkness

Three days of darkness

The boom comes down
The world it rocks
The sky turns orange
In twisted locks

Darkness falls
Three days it stays
No light but candles
Lying prostrate we all pray

Lightning fills the sky
Demons roam the earth
To look upon them is death
Roam the whole of its girth

Close your shudders tightly
Open not a door
Answer not a knock
Stay down upon the floor

Pray that it may pass you
The Angel of death that is to say
For hell has come to earth
For three days it is sure to stay

And when it is all over
And the light returns again
Few souls will be left living
And the dead will litter then

And in the hazy din
Standing they will say
Who let loose the demons?
My God what passed this way?

For surely it will come
So when you see it, be sure to say
Get inside the house
And lay prostrate while you pray

Somewhere in the Bible there is a story of people putting blood above their doors to mark their houses so the angel of death would pass them by. Something like that. This read's as if one of those people was a poet named Precient. The rhythm varies syllabically but the flow is consistent. An enjoyable read.

THE poem was very good not giving any particular msg buty showing some dark moments

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
