    Thrones and Roses

You've been a throne in my side. Brought all your pain from before me

my way. It's not from my hands you suffer. It's from the choices you've

made and the people that hurt you before our day.

Along with the pain, you've brought some color, some Roses my way.

Those gestures still won't make our love linger and stay.

Flowers die and grow, weeds in the places where Roses once grew.

They weren't feed or cared for properly, so they died.

Now theres nothing but weeds, what shall we do, dig them up so

    our love might survive?

very nice writing soulful very very soulful

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
