Through The Door
When he walked through the door
Showing his anger you knew then
There was extreme danger.
Your mind would go crazy
With what you should do
You would just start shaking
Feeling that he knew.
You knew you couldn't run
you knew you couldn't hide
You knew if you opened your mouth
Today would be the day that you died.
So you tried to be quiet
You tried to be good
Knowing it didn't matter
If you did what you should.
He'd grab you and beat you
Until there was a puddle of blood
And the question keeps coming
Why couldn't you just be loved?
