    The walk home

     Down the hill @ 2:30, thats when its all said and done,
    The walk home from middle school, another day lost and not won,
    Back to the other half of life that i dreaded and knew would come,
    Till then i could only ponder, sum,
    How i could rebound, try again, make tomorrow at school better,
    Stand strong, stand tall, stand through any weather,
    I had the luxury of watching a young girl who walked just ahead of me,
    Move in slow motion,
    And then, the ground became my ocean,
    And id day dream, Id, dream that i was just out of reach,
    And that she was my beauty i could beseech,
    And turn around and hold in my arms,
    And do who knows what with my charms,
    And see her smile, and never make it end,
    Oh but reality is the real enemy to pretend,
    For she would suddently swing the gate and enter the walkway,
    And then my day dream would crash in dismay,
    Off it was on further, further on still,
    Home was were my will,
    Was challenge and sometimes crushed,
    Until it appeared as a slushed,
    Fragment of my young soul,
    Empty of the joys the day stole,
    So before i got there i day dreamed some more,
    About the bigger crush i had, the real secret i adored,
    About how i could of, should of, would of, made her mine,
    And how i failed again and again down the line,
    Finally there it was, the brown little home,
    The end of a 20 minute walk, peaceful in appearance, but hell within the arched dome.

    This makes me feel sad, seems except for day dreams and wishes that crash the child has no refuge anywhere
