    Written in 1996, but today feels timely.

    TO BE LOVED

    TO BE LOVED

     

    I want to be loved for who

    I AM.

    Who

    I AM

    is central to my Being.

    My Being guides me

    to do what I do.

    What I do helps me

    to get along in this world.

    Getting along in this world means

    being connected to others.

    Being connected to others means not being alone.

    Not being along means being loved

    for who

    I AM.

    Love is a beautiful thing when it is pure and true and not destructive and painful. I think that in this, you write for the one thing we all long for, but will be a once in a lifetime find.
