    Toe Jam

Toe Jam Toe Jam, tween my toes
    Oder rises to my Nose.
Why it's there, I cannot say,
But I know it's been there, many days.
I wash and wash and scrub away,
But it aways seems to stay.

    Turning green and growing fast,
Begins to smell like bad gas.
The smell rises oh so high,
    Reaching up to the sky.

Buzzards gather to find the dead,
But they find Toe Jam instead.
They circle round and round again,
I pullout my shotgun and do them in.

Toe Jam Toe Jam you smell so strong,
I think I can't stand it for very long.
Cats come hunting the smell of dead fish,
So I serve them Toe Jam in a dish.

They come close to take a peek,
Soon their legs are getting weak.
Rolling over with with legs up high,
All of them begin to die.
As they expire from the awful smell,
The last one looks at me and nods farewell.

As I fade into the sunset,
Still have my Toe Jam ? you bet!
Getting more every day and night,
    Growing faster and faster alright.

Soon enough I'll call it Body Jam,
Covered from head to toe and all around.
So if you see it start on your toe,
Better cut it off or it will grow.

Morris…this is absolutely hysterical. Many would despair to find themselves in similar circumstances, but there’s no giving up in this protagonist. He’s gonna fight as long as there’s an ounce of fight left in him. Kind of took a turn toward a Roger Corman horror flick at the end. If I know Corman… this means a sequel! "Toe Jam Man" perhaps? Ha ha ha! PS – ThorZMan’s suggestion of a practical treatment is the icing on a very funny cake!

Gross, but funny.. My first poem was on toe jam too! We must have similar backgrounds. I love the beat, the rhyming...

This is a very humurous poem - I will laugh with just the thought of this poem.... KD

    Thanks

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
