Bars on the windows

Icicles on razor wire

So damned cold

Lights so bright

Wish I'd done it different

Wish I'd done it right.

I think of home

and close my eyes...

Please be with them

Mandi commented on Tonight

Short, simple, to the point... A poem after my own heart. If a piece geets too lengthy , a reader may tire of it and never finsih, thus losing any message within the work itself. Excellent writing!

I am totally in that a real word ? I can't stand seventeen pages of dross leading you no where.

Love it. Just as the tag says it really is thought provoking and I love how he regrets his actions. ShadowStealer

The "he" was me. Wrote this in a cold dark prison cell.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
