torrents of thought

Abortive emotions
Cast away like stones
Dreams of skipping lightly
Over a feigned glassy reality
Abandoned
True lucidity has transformed
These pebbles…
Now a ponderous payload
That will only sink
To the darkest depths of mad infatuation
In that swirling madness
Frothy unfettered freedom
Logics liberation.

This is soooooooo good!! This whole piece, right down to the title, is so insightful. This is going to my favorites list.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
