Trapped
Tangled in a web of loveThat took so long to weave.
They tried and tried to warn me
I never would believe.
All I saw were the strands of silk
Glimmering in the light.
Such an intricate design.
It looked so beautiful and right.
I didn't know the truth.
I don't know what to say.
I'm stuck inside your web.
You're the hunter, I'm the prey.
I only wanted to take a look.
Wanted to give it a try.
To just see how it feels.
Now I'm asking myself why.
You looked so graceful as you walked
So I flew up to say hello.
I didn't get that far.
Now, I just don't know.
You've encircled me in your web of lies.
You glare at me with hungry eyes.
My heart's captured here, against my will.
As the hunter comes in for the kill.
