Poem Commentary

i wrote this for a class in 7th grade its interesting to re-read my old poems and see where i once was compared to were i am now

trapped

gnawing     scratching     clawing
trapped in this cage
trying to escape
all of the hate and the lies
all those secrets in your eyes

ripping     slashing      crawling     gashing
trapped in this place
trying to escape
all of the pain and the suffering
hidden in your heart

running    racing    quickly pacing
trapped in this world
trying to go home

crying     lying    ducking     hidding
trapped in this skin
trying to slip away
