Traveled On Carpets Of Tome.

Traveled On Carpets Of Tome.

Traveled On Carpets Of Time.

Older now, wiser.
More gentle than ever before.
My hands have become my gift to you.

More magical because of touch.
Touch that reaches deeper
Than crystals of sand,
Buried beneath
Ice-blue droplets of seawater.

Hands that have touched whispers of death.
And cradled newness of birth.
Hands that belong to each other,
Travel on carpets of time.

Each experiencing joy and sorrows of life
Still willing to reach out,
Risking knowing you
Deeper than ever before.

Oh, my! This is like lace. I love your style Steve. Please write more! And I am so sorry for the loss of your little furry fella. I have been there spring of this year, and it's not a good place to be. My friend was Kobe. He helped me through the death of my mother. Take care, poet.

Thanks - from the heart. Actually i just posted two more poems.... Steve. (polishprince) Once again, thanks for taking time to comment on my writing - have to admit, it feels good to have others give a pat on the back.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
