    Tried and True

My brothers and sisters around the world,

Do not despair, do not lose heart, I am with you.

In spirit I travel by your side, I fight the deepest oceans,

the hottest deserts, the changing tides.

I hold your hand and I bow my head in prayer,

I love with you, I cry with you, I laugh with you

I am a part of you.

Maybe we have never seen each others face

     or held each others hand.

Perhaps we have never walked down the same streets

or traveled to each others land.

    Yet I am with you,

as certain as the sun that rises,

as steady as the moon that lights the way by night.

I am steady, tried and true, I am one with you.

May you and yours be blessed!!!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
