    Trinidad

    I miss her so much
Ever since I left six years
I can still hear her cry
Drying her tears with the warmth of my love
    The memories that we shared,
The things that we do will never fade away.
Family and friends the love we share cannot be measured,
Nor can it disappear into the air.
The fears that we overcome, so that we can freely travel
the world.Oh I remember under de coconut tree.
When we use tuh lime and drink juice
Then go and give trouble fuh hours.
Trinidad my beautiful homeland, I adore you.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
