  • What a year...and it keeps getting better...

True Love and sweet bitterness

The constant ring of pain
Wracks my entire being
in the wakefullness of the day
Something more that i am seeing

Open eyes to what's in store
Beyond the bells of pain
A life, a future, joyous times
And sadness when it rains

The kiss of teardrops on leaves
The tenderness of my soul
I am old but young inside myself
Like a new born foal

Life gives joy, peace brings hope
My world is no longer torn
I don't have to worry anymore
My life is no longer scorned

Love surrounds and blankets my being
Wraps its tender mercies around me
The endless flow of love surrounds
It's branches are like a tree

Blossoms and blooms
Are the way of the spring
Everything new in the air
Takes me to a special place, lovers fling

As each moment ticks and slides away
I feel the love renewed
Each day a song to sing to me
Like the tender drops of dew

Wash me in the morning rays
My heart beats just for you
Tell me you love me one more time
I know my love is true

The serenity of the poem leaves the reader wanting it for themselves. I covet the idea of finding suche peace . well written :)

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
