    True Love

It was but a chat between a man & a woman
He was taking my emotions to places they'd never been
His words were like a melody
About the beauty he saw in me

I was taken a back by his vow of love for me
As it was only two days maybe three
But the flood of emotions came pouring out
And I no longer had any doubt

I met him on the internet, I happily lost that big bet

True love has pounded down my door
A man that I have come to adore
Flowers and a Teddy Bear he did send to me
My love I give to him abundantly.

I'm grateful to the universe for each passing day
For bringing me this miracle in my life's bouquet
Trust, communication, honesty & romance abound
My true love I have surely found.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
