    Poem Commentary

ik this poem is pretty dramatic sometimes poems are spot on and this one isnt. its an amplifyed version of how i sometimes feel. not quite shure how to describe it but thats as close as i'l get

    trust is tricky

Have you ever been trapped in your own personal hell?

Ever been played by your own downfall and get stuck on replay?

Stuck in torture, seemingly endless agony,

    Stuck in mourning.

A place that you just can’t move on from.

You know that there is no life after this.

There is no forgetting, not even for a second.

There is no happy after this.

Stuck in a place that no matter where you go,

That place will shadow under your eyes

    And cloud around your memories.

    It will constrict your throat

    It will slow your heart.

    It teases you,

Because no matter how much you want it to

When your heart stops, hell wont.

Have you ever been trapped in a moment?

A time when all you wanted is the end of time,

    A second of pain,

    A flash of chills,

    A tick of torture.

Some things can’t be taken back.

That moment will latch onto you,

    It will attack your conscious,

Send chills down your spine at night.

The mere memory will send you reeling.

    That moment will never stop,

It will never leave you until the day you die.

That moment is your own personal hell.

There’s no escaping it this time around.

    If you have been there,

If you have glimpsed that shadow under your eyes in the mere.

Then you know why optimism is hopeless.

You understand the need I feel to quarantine this life,

To keep it as a skeleton in my closet,

To never let it out, never let anyone in.

    So please stop asking.

    Please stop pestering me,

    Like I needed more problems,

    Like the memories aren’t enough.

    I’m sorry I can’t let you in.

It’s been far too long and I can’t deal with a review.

    I don’t want a critic I just want a companion,

So please don’t peek, just trust me on this,

    That’s not me,

You wouldn’t like what you would see.

Hmm... Very amplified indeed. Descriptive... I could see and feel what the words were saying. Interesting feeling... Fantastic.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
