    Twilight

In the twilight there’s turmoil brewing in my mind; can’t find peace!

Unable to find peace, although I search for it desperately

It eludes me; hides among the tragedies occurring long ago

Shelters itself underneath the scars still trying to heal

I know it’s there, but it runs from me

Has been avoiding me all of my life

Will I ever be allowed to entertain peace?

Will I have the pleasure of sitting in its company?

    Will we become good friends?

In all the years I’ve lived on this earth, the two of us have

yet to spend some time together.

    Will we ever?

hiding will not shelter you from dispair. Run outside into the sunlight and tell the world you're alive. you'll find happiness. It's out there waiting for you. Oh don't read my poems. they are mainly sad. Yea I don't practise what I preach.

So ellusive. Why are the most simplest things the hardest to come by? Sometimes it feels like a cruel joke. Enjoyed the read.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
