Twlight

Moonlight pooling into an abyss

She dances on ripples with nothing amiss

Shadow envelops the empty spaces

Where light cannot touch, he slowly embraces

Moonlight glows like an angel up high

Pouring her essence down from the sky

Shadow kisses her slowly without a sound

As time overtakes he cannot be found

Moonlight licks the lingering place

Where she felt Shadow’s retreating face

Moonlight searches the mysterious night

Spreading her love with her shining light

Shadow hides into the ticking gap

Between day and night’s unending trap

Morning comes and closes the door

For a love only wanting more

Waiting patiently far away

Silently they each will pray

For when heaven will spread the clouds above

As the night brings their only love

Moonlight will put on another play

If only she could finally stay.

Shadow will linger by her side

Silently watching with love and pride.
