    Poem Commentary

    The pressures of life get to me too.

    Un-Motivated

    Moving hands from one-hour-two
    Past 7 in the evening, as time
    Speedily flies, so does my joy,
    The smile that I once had quickly
    Passes with the days...
    Is it possible to have peace
    When it seems that life
    Literally will not leave you alone?

    Every inch of my body aches as
    I age within this knight's shell,
    Shield me from the decaying sores
    That fester inside my heart,
    Is it to exceed the limitations
    Of rationalism's front door?

    Emotions are much stronger
    Than the chemical compositions
    Of this body- Do not tell me that
    My crushed spirit is a result of
    Some hormonal-imperfection or PMS...
    No science on earth can explain
    This pressure inside my breasts.

    Can't sleep, can't eat, can't rest,
    Can't move from my space
    Until Someone Calls my Name,
    Hope, Hope, Where are You when
    I need You the most?
