    But I am not listeneing

    I only hear the fountain

    Bubbling merrily away

     

     Our sexual apathy

    Screwing with no connection

    You could be any dick

    On any given day

     

    Eyes flat with indifference

    Settling for mediocrity

    Not really caring

    Seeing

    Living

    Breathing

    Touching

    Feeling

    Puking

    Fucking

    in uncomplicated shades of grey

    I like the line -uncomplicated shades of grey- It is ironic, because most "shades of grey" would swear they are colorful....and so mysterious and beyond... and blah blah blah. Yet this poem puts it into its place. Into the mediocre, cookie-cutter position it deserves.

    Ouch. So much hate and disgust for this man. You are devoided of any feelings and connection. I really felt the streangth in your words of "Eyes flat with indifference, settling for mediocrity, not really caring". Then when you finish with "puking, fucking" , It sums up your theme so well. Keep up the great work. A perfect 10 from me because of how real and intense this poem is.
