Poem Commentary

You know who you are and how I feel so don't me say it or I will poke you in the eye!!! HA HA HA Just Kidding (maybe)

Unconventional Love

Head on his shoulder nuzzled in the crook of his arm
The world fades away safe from all harm
Knowing we want but don't need each other here
makes our love that much sweeter and exceptionally rare
I love yous and such are not words that we say
a single touch or a kiss pushes all doubts away
If I say babe I need you, he'd say what for?
Your the strongest woman I know and so much more
If he said babe I love you, your the reason I live
I'd laugh and just tell him I have no money to give
Yes our love is not tender or as sweet as some
but at the end of each day I'm still sure he's the one!

The more I read about love followed by a poem about getting rid of someone... especially the same poet. I do wonder... True love? Or more of a cycle. A chemical storm in our heads circling around and around like monsoons and the dry season in India... Good luck and keep a weather eye out...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
