UNDER HEAVEN’S BLUE VEIL
Through the canyon, breezes sway
Tall oak trees of shaded sun
Butterflies flit and play
Creek gurgles harmony into one
Short before the birth of Spring
Not far from view a Robin sings
Trees waving limbs, bid sunshine stay
Peacefully drowsy, late winter day
Sanctuary in mounts green brush
Meadows whisper tranquil hush
Up from the valley wind does rush
My soul awakened, refreshed by creation
Rare beauty before my eyes behold
Beyond a maiden fair, ten-fold
God surely favors His wondrous art
Thus glides my being, a soaring heart
Atop the mountain plush hills wisped
Strong air wall, clean and crisp
Voyaging eagles circle and dive
Perfection in flight, these masters thrive
As gusts strike sage, bowing grass on hillside
Ushered clouds move in like high tide
Heavens opaque, braided white ribbon blue
Bristled limbs grasp at wind
The eagles range through canyon pass
Jasmine breeze o’er rills caress
Reflecting back the sky as liquid glass
Beyond the earth’s green dimpled hills
Merging luminous clouds from the sea
Their specters vast in canyons fill
Bright clouds overhead, daylight has fled
Upon the vista their shadows decree
No promise of rain, sun will refrain
Seeds break soil in droplets of dew
So waves the grain in wind from the plain
Timeless land under heaven’s blue veil
